Heather came into my life at a time when I needed her desperately. I had just given birth to a sweet baby boy who was learning to grow and I was trying to navigate this new life while also dealing with postpartum challenges. When a friend suggested I get a postpartum doula I a) didn’t know that there was such a thing as a postpartum doula and b) didn’t know how to find one. Luckily I found my way to Heather and she was a tremendous help to me. She would visit a few times a week and support me in learning how to care for my son and also for myself. As the weeks passed she helped me gain confidence and offer me time to sleep! Heather clearly has experience caring for children and mothers but what I appreciated most was her eagerness to keep learning and sharing information. One night she brought over a book that had a good chapter on colic. My husband and I poured over it during late nights when we were trying to make sense of everything. Finally, Heather has a beautifully calm demeanor that was wonderful to welcome into our home each time. I would and already have recommended her to others!

Heather was present for my (very intense/fast!) labor and did an incredible job of physically and mentally supporting me while at the same time ensuring my husband could play an active supporting role in the birth as well. This was my second drug free labor and I can attest that having Heather there made a world of difference!

I would 100% recommend Heather... Her help with our family not only was invaluable to all three of us physically as she helped us recover from sleep deprivation and the throes of new parenthood, but her assistance was invaluable to me emotionally and mentally.

Heather worked with our family for years as a beloved babysitter for our two sons. Since they were very young infants, she helped take care of them, and we always felt very comfortable knowing that Heather was in charge. She was responsible, prompt, and a steady, warm presence. As our sons grew older, Heather was a master at fort-building, arts and crafts, and playing games in the backyard. Our boys loved when Heather would come over, and we never had to worry that they were in good hands. I would highly recommend Heather in any care-giving role, given her warmth, steadiness, and sense of responsibility.
