We have had the pleasure of working with Heather as both our birth and postpartum doula for the past 6 weeks (and for 6 more to go!). We were lucky enough to be introduced to her by another mom in the same local mothers group who had worked with her postpartum. After interviewing a number of candidates, we instantly fell in love with Heather and her warm and easy going presence. As this was our second baby (and not having had the benefit of working with a doula for our first) we knew our son’s birth/presence would come with their own set of challenges for our growing family and having Heather there as we embark on this new journey has been incredible.

Heather has been there for me as much as she’s been there for our son and truly views her role to be supporting the whole family.

Heather was present for my (very intense/fast!) labor and did an incredible job of physically and mentally supporting me while at the same time ensuring my husband could play an active supporting role in the birth as well. This was my second drug free labor and I can attest that having Heather there made a world of difference!

Thanks to Heather, I was able to recover from my delivery (and a subsequent surgery) knowing she was proactively thinking of my full recovery - from supporting me with nutritious meals/snacks, stepping in to help care for my 3 year old when needed, caring for my infant son and helping me think through questions related to breastfeeding, and a schedule for our growing family. I know Heather will be in our lives even after her postpartum term with us has ended and I am grateful for all the love she has given my son and our whole family throughout this journey.
